Home Reconstruction Program
TransLand’s Renovation and Home Improvement Program allows you to payoff your existing
mortgage and establish a new construction loan with additional funds available to repair and
improve your home. This program is ideal for repairing damage caused by the recent hurricane
activity and can also allow you to roll in a home expansion, pool, garage enclosure or any
other type of home upgrade project.
How it works
- Your existing mortgage is paid off and a combination Construction/Permanent loan is made.
- The new loan amount will be based on the estimated value of the home AFTER repairs and
additions.
- As repair work is completed, and following inspection, funds are disbursed.
- Funds paid by your insurance company can be used to reduce the outstanding principal balance
on your existing loan.
- Your hurricane deductible can be avoided.
- All expenses may be included in the new loan resulting in minimal out-of-pocket expenses.
Benefits to you
- You may receive a lower interest rate than you currently have.
- You may be able to include construction interest payments during the reconstruction.
- You may have very little, if any, out-of-pocket expense.
